Several changes occurred in Britain in the years 1750-1900. For starters, the population shot up from 11 million in 1750 to 40 million in 1900. In agriculture, more food was produced by the 1900 and wasteland came into cultivation. In the 1900, there was more social mobility with a rise in attention to the plight of the poor, the status of women and rising interest in socialism.
During the year 1750, most people engaged in subsistence farming either by hand or horse power while in the 1900’s most people farmed by use of machines.
