Melvin Franklin became ill in 1993 from rheumatoid arthritis and on February 17, 1995, after a series of seizures, Melvin lapsed into a coma and remained unconscious until his death six days later. He is best known for his role as a member of The Temptations singing group from 1961 to 1994.
