The Beatles were a rock band from Liverpool that was formed in 1960. It was one of the most successful bands in the history of popular music an d consisted of John Lennon on rhythm guitar and vocals, Paul McCartney on the bass guitar and vocals, George Harrison the lead guitar and on vocals and Ringo Starr on the drums and vocals. The band met when John Lennon formed the group The Quarrymen in March 1957 with some school friends then later Paul McCartney joined as a guitarist in July. Paul invited George Harrison who later joined them and the name changed to The Beatles as a suggestion from Lennon's schoolmate Stuart Sutcliffe.

Some of The Beatles meet in 1957 when they formed a band called The Quarrymen. Paul McCartney joined the band a little later on and George Harrison meet Paul McCartney on a bus and was invited to watch the band play. They eventually changed the bands name to The Beatles.

After many changes of band members, the group was finally settled in 1962. With the help of their manager Brian, the Beatles became the best rock band of all times.
