How do I Know if my Water Softener is Working?

An easy way for you to determine if your water softener working ( as well as a quick way) is to boil water in a pot for 20 minutes and then look at the inside of the pot. If you see any whitish residue then your water softener is not working, of course if you don't see any residue then you its working fine! Hope that helps!
