How do i make a steel spring?

Answer

The most commonly used spring materials are steel alloys though phosphor bronze, beryllium copper alloy and titanium are also used. Making a spring goes through three manufacturing processes which are: Coiling, where the wire goes through cold winding and then hot winding. Hardening, where it is heat treated and the steel is allowed to maintain its characteristic resilience. And then the final stage, the finishing where the steel goes through grinding, shot peening, setting, coating and packaging.
