How do I thaw a frozen water line on an icemaker?

Answer

An icemaker receives water through a small, 1/4-inch water supply line that runs from the refrigerator to a water pipe. To thaw the icemaker: Unplug the refrigerator and remove the ice bin and any loose ice from the icemaker. Find the fill tube, the white rubber-like hose that delivers water to the icemaker and pull down the small metal clip off the housing that holds the fill tube. Warm the hose and surrounding mechanism by soaking the supply tubing with hot water, using a turkey buster and catching the overflow in the empty icemaker bin
