How Do You Broil a Steak in the Oven?


To broil steaks in the oven, preheat oven on broiler setting. Place steaks on broiler pan, season as desired, and put in oven. Leave oven door cracked while broiling. Turn once during cooking, remove when done to desired temperature.

The time that it will take to cook your steak will differ depending on what cut you are using. This is why I always keep a meat thermometer handy. I like to just put a little salt on the meat and place the meat in a scalding hot pan which was heated in the oven with the broiler on its highest setting.
