# How Does a Maglev Train Work?

Magnetic Levitation (Maglev) Trains operate on a simple principal. Powerful magnets in both the tracks and the train are given a like charge so they repel and cause the train to levitate. These charge are then manipulated to make the train move in the same way that is done with an electric motor to make it spin.
