Marijuana affects the nervous system as a hallucinogen and depressant. Your nervous system slows down when using marijuana. The feelings and effects of marijuana can range from feeling calm to nervous, even paranoid to feeling giddy and silly to anxious. High does can cause hallucinations and the effects can last for up to four hours.
