Electricity has changed the way we travel dramatically. Ever since 1892 when the first wheeled vehicle that run on a battery was launched, man has been able to travel further, faster and more comfortably. Electricity has been heavily used in the rail industry with one example being its use in running high speed trains.
Electricity has affected the way we travel because some of the means of travelling greatly rely on electricity. For air travel, the air controls and the lighting of run ways are affected by electricity, and without electricity, the planes cannot fly. For trains, most of the modern ones use electricity as fuel and also the controls are done by use of electricity while for the travelling by vehicles; traffic lights are controlled by use of electricity, which can paralyse the traffic.
