How is acid rain formed?

Acid rain occurs when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air where they rise and mix with water, oxygen and other chemicals. Sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides dissolve very easily in water and can travel great distances to combine with the moisture in the air.

Humans are the main cause of acid rain, according to the EPA, because many different chemicals get released into the air as a result of burning fossil fuels, exhaust from cars and the use of aerosol cans. Natural rain is slightly acidic, but human activities make it worse. Acid rain can cause damage to crops, trees, rivers, animals and lakes.

When polluntants drift into the atmosphere and combine with moisture this produces acid rain. When the cloud begins to rain it will then release the acid rain. Look here for more
Acid rain primarily comes from sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, which are released into the atmosphere through volcanic eruptions, organic decay and fossil fuel emissions. Fossil
Acid rain is formed by pollution. When chemical substances turn into water vapour, it rises into a cloud. when the cloud rains, chemical substances come pouring out instead of water

Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air.
Human activities are the main cause of acid rain. Over the past few decades, humans have released so many different chemicals into the air that they have changed the mix of gases in the atmosphere.
