Difference between Paleolithic and Neolithic Ages?

The Paleolithic age is known as the Stone Age and the neolithic age is known as the New Stone Age. Basically the Paleolithic used very primitive tools and weapons and survival of the families was based on hunting skills. The Neolithic people discovered farming. They invented pottery and tools to work the land. this would be the difference in the technological advances between the two ages.

As cuddle bear said the main change was hunter gatherers turned into farmers.But some places like Australia that had plentiful of meat stayed the same (tropical climate regions)
