Regardless of the school attended, an RN degree can take anywhere from 4 to 5 years to obtain. You may be able to fast track the degree, but most colleges don't allow fast tracking with a degree as specialized as an RN.

I don't know of any states that do require a BSN to become an RN. All states do require passing a state board of nursing licensing exam after completing an accredited nursing program
