How Long Do Artichokes Last?

Answer

Artichokes are a type of thistle used as food that usually live for two years and originate in Southern Europe. Globe Artichokes were first cultivated in Naples, Italy in the 9th century and were brought to the United States by French immigrants to Louisiana. Today nearly all Artichokes that are grown in the United States come from Monterey County, California. Artichokes will last around a week if stored in the refrigerator, and about 10 to 12 months if stored in the freezer.
