How Long Does A Title Search Take?

Answer

A title search for a home may take as long as a month, sometimes even longer. The title search may not take even as long as a couple of weeks. It really depends on where the house is, and how backed up the records office is. The title search will go through the title for the house to make sure there is nothing on the title like a lien. If something is found, then the purchase of the home may not go through.
