As of 2014, director and producer Steven Spielberg has won a total of 141 awards. These awards include four Academy Awards, three Golden Globe awards, four Primetime Emmy awards, four BAFTA awards and six AFI awards.
In addition to his four Academy Award wins, Spielberg has been nominated for an additional 12 Oscars. His Oscar wins were for Best Director for "Schindler's List" in 1994 and "Saving Private Ryan" in 1999, plus a Best Picture win as producer for "Schindler's List" and the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 1987. In addition, he has been awarded the Directors Guild of America's award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement three times, for "The Color Purple," "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan." He has also won numerous awards from critics' organizations and foreign film groups.
