Answer

According to 1 Chronicles chapter 3, King David of the Bible had many children. In Hebron he had Amnon, Daniel, Absalom, Adonijah, Shepatiah, and Ithream. In Jerusalem he had Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet, Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Elishama, Elidia, Eliphelet, and Tamar. These 20 were only his legitimate children, however; he is said to have had more children by his concubines.
