There are 175,223,510 combinations of Powerball numbers. Five numbers are drawn from a pool of 59 white balls, and the final Powerball is drawn from a separate pool of 35 red balls.

When a ball is chosen, that number is removed from the pool. The order of the selections does not matter, as the winning numbers are displayed sequentially regardless of the order in which they were chosen. At $2 a ticket, it would take more than $350 million to purchase enough tickets to have every combination. There are 86,400 seconds in a day, so if one combination were printed every second it would take 5 and a half years to print up all the possible number combinations.
