As of May 2014, only one of the three members of the Bee Gees is still alive. Maurice Gibb died on January 12, 2003, in Miami, Florida, and Robin Gibb passed away on May 20, 2012, in London, England. The deceased Gibbs are survived by their older brother Barry, who was the lead singer of the Bee Gees.

The Bee Gees reached the height of their popularity in the mid to late '70s, topping the charts with disco hits, many of which were featured in the soundtrack from "Saturday Night Fever." They won Grammy Awards in 1977, 1978 and 1980 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
