How many scoops of coffee to put in a bunn 12 cup coffee maker?

I actually have the same coffee pot and I use 5 coffee scoops for the 12 cup pot. 12 cups is never really 12 whole cups, it's not even 12 6 ounce cups. I love the BUNN and the fact that the water stays hot 24/7. The worst feeling is when you pull the plug out for something and forget to put it back in and realize it when it's time for coffee in the morning. Then the hot water concept isn't as appreciated, is it.
