How Many Teeth Does a Hippopotamus Have?


A hippopotamus has 40 teeth. The incisors are the most visible which makes it seem like they only have 4 teeth. The reason we can't see the rest of their teeth so well is because hippo's can open their mouths 180 degrees as to where humans can only open their mouths 45 degrees.
