How old do you have to be to go hunting for deer in Minnesota?


To hunt deer in Minnesota, a person must be at least 12 years old and have a DNR firearms safety certificate and must also buy a big game firearms license. Another prerequisite is that they must hunt with a parent or legal guardian. When they reach age 14, they may hunt without a parent or guardian.
