How to Build a Propane Grill?

Answer

Here's how to build your own propane gas grill. First you'll need to remove the stainless steel burner and the regulator from your gas grill. Next, turn the pot upside down and draw a circle on the bottom ( a pencil will work just fine for this). Draw another circle an inch in from the outer edge of the pot. Drill holes equally spaced in the bottom of the pot these should be at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 9for a total of 6 holes). Drill another hole (about 1 inch diameter) in the side of the pot at about 1 1/2 inches from the bottom. Drill holes at 1, 5 and 9 on the bottom circle and two more holes in the side of the pot 1 1/2 inches apart opposite the single side hole. Now turn the pot upright and drill 3 more 1/4 inch holes at 120 degree intervals. Insert stainless steel screws through the 5 side holes and secure them inside with a 1/4 inch x 20 inch stainless nut. AFter all of the nuts have been tightened, thread them exactly 1 1/2 inches onto the 3 screws remaining. Stand the grill on the screws inside old baking pan or foil pan. Insert the burner tube from inside the pot through the 1 inch hole and then set the burner's wide end on top of two bottom screws. Place the grill grate on the top of the three top screws.
