There are many ways that one can build a sandblasting cabinet. The materials that are most commonly used are sheet metal, wood (usually plywood) and plastic. Unless you have sheet metal bending experience, perhaps the easiest material will be plywood. The cabinet itself is basically a box with a funnel shaped bottom to capture the blasting material for reuse. Inside there is usually a wire rack upon which the object to be sandblasted is placed. Most manufactured industrial units also have rubber gloves built into the wall (like a sterile box) or a rubber slit panel. This is not always necessary but does greatly decrease the dust from the unit from making the surrounding area messy. The air compressor and sandblasting unit's main components are kept outside the cabinet to protect them from the sand and dust with the nozzle and hoses being the only parts inside.
