When checking how much memory, or RAM, you have in your system there are a few simple steps to take. The first is to open up the start menu just as you would for any program. From the choice of icons in that menu you will want to choose the one that will take you to Help. From there you are given several options, including one to see the information on your computer or diagnose any problems that exist. Make that choice and then select the option to view your specific computer information. From there you want to choose to look at the general information about your system. Among the detailed information you receive will be a listing for Memory and that is how much RAM you have on your system.
