You can convert cassettes to a CD by purchasing what is called Cassette to USB hardware. All it is, is a cassette player that attaches to your USB port on your computer. After you insert your tape, and plug it device into your USB port you open the sound recorder on your PC. Press record on the sound recorder, and play on the cassette deck. Once the tape is done playing and you have it recorded in .Wav format on the computer you can burn it to CD. You will need a CD/DVD burner drive and a burning program. I use NERO for this. Then just move the file to your burner program and burn your CD. The Cassette to USB also comes with sound recording software and may now also have burning software, but you can get a free version trial of NERO on their website.
