You can make doughnut batter using about one cup of sifted all purpose flour, half a cup of sugar, one tablespoonful of double acting baking powder, half a teaspoon of salt, one egg, half a cup of milk and a quarter cup of cooking oil. Once you have mixed all the dry ingredients, you add the egg, milk and the cooking oil and mix thoroughly.
