How to Make Fresh Custard?

Answer

To make fresh custard you will need milk, double cream, sifted cornflour, and granulated sugar. You will also need extra large egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Using a mixing bowl, mix the cornflour and sugar together. Mix in milk until the milk has dissolved. Using a saucepan, heat the cream and stir in the milk mixture. Cook over heat until the mixture thickens. Once completed remove from the heat. Using a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks, and add hot sauce. Pour the egg mixture into a saucepan over heat and bring to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add vanilla extract while still stirring. Once completed, pour the fresh custard into a container and serve.
