In order to paint over ceramic tile you must clean the dirt off. Then use rubbing alcohol on the tile. Finally sand the ceramic tile to where the shine is dull and smooth and paint. Make sure you add a top coat at the end.

It's really hard to get paint to stick over ceramic tile, but it can be done. Use an electric sander to sand the surface of the tile. This will rough up the tile and give the paint something to stick to.
