How to Peel a Coconut?

Answer

To peel a coconut, first you want to drain the coconut by boring a hole into one of its sides. Save or discard the coconut milk. Then crack the coconut in half and boil each half for 5-10 minutes. When the coconut has swelled, rinse each half in cool water and allow them to sit untouched for 10 min. As they sit the skin will shrink back down and loosen from the flesh making it easier to peel. Slip a spoon between the flesh and the skin and peel the outer skin away. Enjoy.
