How to Regrow a Dead Plant?

Answer

Most likely a plant that is already dead will not be able to regrow. You can try to cut back any dead, brown leaves and water the plant. Be sure to place the plant in direct sunlight and it may grow back again.

According to my local nursery there is no way to regrow a dead plant. If the tops of the plant are wilted but the roots are still alive, trimming off the dead tops, watering the soil and placing the pot in sunlight is sometimes enough to bring the plant back. However, once a plant reaches that stage it is common for the plant to completely die.
If a plant is already dead, then there may not be chance in it coming alive again. You can try lightly watering it and putting it in some sunlight to see if it comes back.
