How to Remove a Homemade Tattoo?

If youâ€â&dbquo;¢re trying to remove an old, healed homemade tattoo, youâ€â&dbquo;¢ll have to have it removed by laser, just like any professional tattoo. However, if it is a fresh tattoo in which the skin is still open from the tattooing process, you have a good chance of removing the tattoo. To remove a homemade tattoo, get a wash cloth and wet it with warm water. Next, use the wet cloth to moisten the area that is tattooed. Put a liberal amount of sea salt on top of the tattooed area and rub the salt into the tattooed area using the clean wet cloth you just moistened the area with. It should be noted that this process does hurt, and the area will bleed. The bleeding is actually a good sign. Rise as you go to keep the area as clean and clear as possible, especially because this will help in the removal process. Next, use a new clean washcloth and soak it in hydrogen peroxide. Then, apply the hydrogen peroxide cloth to the tattooed area. Liberally apply vitamin E oil or lotion and wrap the wound. As the area heals the tattoo ink will come out and gradually get lighter and lighter. Again, this works with new, fresh tattoos, but your chances with an older tattoo isnâ€â&dbquo;¢t great. It can be painful and make a mess on old tattoos, but do little to lighten or remove it.
