How to Remove a Mixer Tap?

Answer

Mixer taps have solid copper pipe or flexible pipe tails approximately 30 centimetres. Use a footprint wrench to unscrew these from the water pipe before unscrewing the retaining nut, which generally tightens against the metal holding collar. After this the tap should pull out and you can fit in a new one.
