How do you remove blood stains from carpet?

Answer

Removing blood stains from carpet isn't terribly difficult if you get to them while they are fresh. First, blot with a damp wash cloth and then a dry one to remove as much of the stain as possible. Then blot again with a wet cloth so the stain is slightly damp and sprinkle liberally with table salt. Allow the stain to dry and vacuum. Repeat as necessary.
