There are many interesting facts about Helen Keller. She started to speak when she was only six months old. She walked at a year old, and tragically became ill when she was just a year and a half with what her doctor would call 'brain fever'. This is when she lost her eyesight and her hearing. Despite being blind and deaf, she graduated from college.
