Ray Bradbury's middle name was Douglas, after Douglas Fairbanks. When he was young he began to write stories on butcher paper. He earned his first pay as a writer for a joke he sent to George Burns. At one time, Bradbury traveled around Mexico to collect Indian masks for the Los Angeles County Museum. He contributed ideas to Disney's Spaceship Earth at EPCOT.
