Boost Mobile works on an IDEN network, and even though IDEN and GSM both utilize sim cards, they are incompatible with each other. Boost mobile can also operate with CDMA.

Boost Mobile is not GSM. They operate on the Nextel Network which is IDEN. Source(s) I used to be a user of both Boost & Nextel.
