If you are experiencing itching of the outer ear you may have seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis is an inflammation of your skin. In order to treat this it is suggested for you to first do nothing. It if is not bothering you then you will not get it infected. You may need to use a topical lidex solution occasionally. If it does become infected you will need to see your doctor to get a prescription for either pills or topical ointment to treat.
