In September 6, 1901, assassin Leon Czolgosz shot and wounded U.S. President William McKinley in Buffalo, New York using an Iver Johnson .32 caliber Safety Automatic revolver with the serial number 463344. As of 2011, the revolver is displayed at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society in Buffalo.
