Kenyan Last Names?

Answer

Common Kenyan last names will depend on both on the ethnic group or tribe. From the Luo tribe you will have last names like: Adoyo, Owiti, Omondi, Michieka, Otieno, Abasi, and Wangai. Last names are thought to depict the circumstances of the birth. This is why you can have two siblings that have completely different last names or have people with the same last name but not be related to each other in Kenya. They also aren't as much surnames as two first names.
