Lewy Body is a disease in which 1.3 million people in the United States are affected with. Due to it's resemblance of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, it's not widely diagnosed. It typically takes more than two years to diagnosis LBD due to the onset of the symptoms resembling the other two diseases. LBD however is a multi system disease that requires a aggressive treatment approach to lessen the severity of the symptoms. Many patients can expect a life expectancy of anywhere from 2 to 20 years after the onset of systems. On average however the life expectancy is 5 to 7 years.
