Where can you find a list of British colonies?

A colony is an area that is controlled by another country. Since the 1800s there have been many British colonies. Over time many of these gained independence, a list of British colonies made now would have many less than what there was in the past. These days they would not even be called colonies. They are now called British overseas territories. Some of these territories are; Bermuda, British Antarctic Territory, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Falkland Island, and Anguilla.
