Democratic countries are countries in which the citizens have a say in what goes on in their country. This is often done through elections when the people elect those who will represent them and their interests. The United States is a democratic country. There are also several others. The following is a list of democratic countries: Japan, Romania, Peru, Poland, Lithuania, Denmark, Belgium, Croatia, France, Finland, Germany, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Chile, Cape Verde, El Salvador, and Australia.
