Main Function of Caricom?


The main function of CARICOM or the Caribbean Community Secretariat is to provide assistance to all states which are members and to resolve any problems which may arise. It also coordinates foreign policies across all nations and promote general economic advancement. It was first established in 1973 and is comprised of 15 Caribbean nations including Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda', Bahamas, Barbados, and Grenada. By joining together as a collective, the countries are able to pool some of their resources for the betterment of the entire region.
