Marquette was a reputable source for arc welders. They also offered MIG welders which were made in Italy. In particular, their MIG model 12183 was commonly seen on clearance in 2008. These MIG welders were available through Lincoln Welding as a part of their WCTA (welding, cutting, tools, and accessories) division. MIG welding refers to the use of metal inert gas which is one of several forms of welding. Another would be MAG welding (metal active gas). Each type of welding has its own particular method of heating metals causing them to join. Marquette MIG welders are now obsolete.
