Mayan Alphabet?

Answer

The Mayan alphabet is complex. They did not use letters that look like the ones that we know; their letters were pictures. There are some letters that have more than one picture. To form a word, they placed these picture on top of each other. The Mayan alphabet is closely related to the Spanish orthography that was used in the sixteenth century. There alphabet also used logograms. These were pictures that represented words or meanings.
