Troubleshooting a miller welder machine is done by first checking the connections are wired in properly to the power source. If the welding power output is low adjust the engine speed by twisting the nuts located at the power adjuster.If the collector rings are malfunctioning, clean them by using a brush to remove rust.If the engine is cold, the chock should be turned anticlockwise until it warms up and returned to its normal position.

I've used both and honestly I prefer Lincoln but there is nothing wrong with Miller. I know a few guys that have been welding for over 30 years and they hate miller and love lincoln
