Answer

Meet Scores at a track meet are kept differently depending on the variables that are present. The purpose and size of a meet may be crucial in determining this. There are two different types of meet, the first one being the Dual or tri meets where two or three teams are in competition and secondly the championship meet which are usually national meets where champions are crowned. The depth of scoring usually determines the meet scores which follow the three, six, eight type of scoring.
