Unless you have a Blu-ray player no difference at all. The only high definition source for audio is Blu-ray (and HD-DVD). Lets get a little more specific. CD audio is 16 bit 48KHz

Thats correct, THX certification, Sirius and PC inputs are the only differences. Unless you plan to buy THX certified speakers and cables I don't see a valid reason to buy the THX
