When and Where Is the Best Time of Year and Place to Go Crabbing in NJ?

Answer

Some of the top spots to go crabbing in New Jersey are: under the Route nine bridge and the Parkway in Bass River Bridge in New Gretna; Berkeley Island County Park for its fishing/crabbing pier, it has a picnic area and children's playground; Mantaloking Bridge, there's a crabbing area under the bridge. If you like Blue crabs then the best time is from April to December in Delaware Bay. Other crabbing seasons for the rest of the NJ waterways is from March to November. Best time to catch is early morning when crabs are the most active, between 4:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
